Mid July is always a transition and we start to wonder if the summer is going by too fast.  This we had such a cold spring that I didn’t even see hummingbirds in my yard until July 4th.  The echinacea (cone flower)has finally take over as the prominant color in many gardens as the catmint and other flowers already fade.
